International solidarity

international solidarityAlthough 90.000 of French people are willing to get involved in international volunteering missions every year, only 15% of them actually do so. Hundreds of local NGOs in developing countries are left in need of support from volunteer workers.

Volunteering and humanitarian action

GROUPE SOS develops an alternative way of managing commitment, for example by acting as a go-between for international volunteer workers and local actors.

Supporting Tunisian associations

Being aware of the current historic transitional situation in Tunisia, GROUPE SOS has decided to cooperate with the Tunisian civil society in order to contribute to the development of the country’s voluntary sector. GROUPE SOS thus created the Bureau Association Conseil (BAC) in December 2011, a support structure aiming at assisting local associations and social enterprises in their general functioning (fundraising, legal processes, communication, innovation, etc.).
