Healthcare with temporary housing
The existing sanitary solutions in favour of people with few or no resources suffer from multiple deficiencies. Even though they are often the ones who are the most vulnerable to health risks, they are also the persons to whom healthcare is the least accessible.
Here is a basic example: after a period of hospitalization, convalescent patients often need additional in-home healthcare support. But how do you go about this if you are homeless ?
To overcome this issue, GROUPE SOS created and developed Lits Halte Soins Santé LHSS (Beds In Healthcare Day Centres), which provide temporary accommodation and healthcare solutions to the homeless.
GROUPE SOS also created and developed the first “therapeutic coordination houses”, which were initially dedicated to providing housing and assistance to insecure persons suffering from HIV/Aids, before this set-up was further developed to take other pathologies into account.
