Through the “PasserElles” project, Sant\u00e9 Sud, a Groupe SOS affiliate, highlights the medicalisation of health centers in rural areas by drawing on its experiences and the realities on the ground. The initiative focuses on strengthening health services and improving the quality of care at the community level. By leveraging its expertise and taking into account the rural area\u2019s challenges, the project aims to increase access to essential medical services while raising standards of care in the targeted intervention areas. Since 2020, Louise Bourgeois has been involved with Sant\u00e9 Sud as a midwife. Drawing on her commitment and expertise, Louise provides insights into her recent five-week mission focused on enhancing the skills of midwives at the Teyarett Health Centre in Mauritania.
