Groupe SOS takes a stand for a fairer and more united Europe
Groupe SOS acts every day, alongside its European partners, to promote a European Union built on solidarity, social justice, and respect for planetary boundaries. Through more than one hundred projects carried out in 19 countries, we observe that the challenges linked to tackling climate change, social inequalities, and caring for the most vulnerable are widely shared across the EU.
Convinced that the European Union is an extraordinary space for action and social innovation, we are advancing eight advocacy priorities: ageing well, access to culture for all, impact entrepreneurship, gender equality, mobility, digital transition, decent housing, and support for those facing addiction.
Each thematic position paper sets out concrete recommendations, grounded in the actions and field experience of our 22,000 committed professionals and the needs of our 2 million beneficiaries. Enriched by our European projects, developed with diverse communities in multiple contexts and territories, these recommendations can be applied throughout Europe.
At a time when social cohesion is increasingly undermined by identity-based withdrawal and the rise of far-right movements across the continent, we are convinced that the European Union must play a key role in building models that are truly united, fair, and respectful of all living beings.
